Antique Slant Front Desk 

This desk has suffered several large splits in the direction of the grain from continuous contraction / expansion over it's 200+ year life.  The separations in the bottoms of the drawers were also filled. Then color and artificial graining added, subsequently sealed with a matching semi-gloss lacquer and polished to it's original sheen. There were also several glue blocks cut out of salvaged antique wormed hardwood that needed to be added to support the feet.
